Parent Advisory Council meeting – Twice a year we hold a Parent Advisory Council meeting. This year our Parent Advisory Council meeting will be held on Wednesday, January 12, 2011, at 4:00 PM in the Parish Center room. This meeting is to inform our stakeholders about some of the events that have happened during the first semester of school. We discuss events that have happened such as: building improvements, the 2010 School Report Card, the 2010 ISAT testing results, our 2011-2012 School Improvement goals, Discipline Report, new educational programs, Honor Roll, and Survey Results. At this meeting questions are answered and suggestions are taken under advisement. We hope you will come to the PAC meeting to receive information about the improvements and great things that are happening at Albers School. We also welcome your suggestions and comments. SCHOLAR BOWL NEWS submitted by Ms. Dawson – On Wednesday, the Albers Scholar Bowl Team participated in their first match for the New Year. They competed with Germantown Bulldogs and won two of the four games. Go, Cougars! The team’s next match is on Jan. 10 against Breese Bobcats. They also plan to compete in the Jan. 29 Central Tournament and Feb. 5 Mater Dei Tournament.

The Albers Elementary School Booster Club is trying to raise $30,000 to upgrade technology items in the school. Items that need to be upgraded include: computers, monitors, scanners, headphones and more. Please help us reach our goal by attending our Dance & Auction on Saturday, January 29, 2011.
