AS OF JANUARY 01, 2012, ELECTRONIC ITEMS WILL NO LONGER BE PICKED UP FROM YOUR RESIDENCE. Illinois State Law mandates electronic items be recycled and not be accepted into any Illinois landfills.
ITEMS INCLUDED: TVs, monitors, printers, computers (laptop, notebook, notebook, tablet), electronic keyboards, facsimile machines, VCRs, digital music players, DVDs, video game consoles, small scale servers, scanners, electronic mice, digital converter boxes, cable receivers, satellite receivers, DVD recorders.
The Village of Albers is working with area recyclers to help residents recycle these items. Information will be coming soon!
