Q: Where is Village Hall and what are the hours of operation?	A: Albers Village Hall is located at 206 W. Dwight St. (PO Box 132) near the Post Office and the Church. Village Hall is open from 9 A.M. to Noon Tuesdays through Fridays. If you need to leave a message either phone us at 248-5154 or send an email to villageofalbers@yahoo.com. We will do our best to get back to you in a timely manner.
Q: I have an emergency. Who should I call?	A: For life-threatening emergencies, please call 911. To reach the Fire Department and Police in our area, refer to the following numbers: Albers Police Department: 248-5156 Clinton County Sheriff: 594-4555 Illinois State Police: 346-3600 Albers Fire Department: 248-5442
Q: When are Village Council meetings held?	A: Albers Village Council meetings are held the second Monday of each month at 7 P.M.
Q: I am renting a home or an apartment. Do any special rules apply for my water service?	A: A $100 deposit is required for all rental units. The deposit is refunded after service is turned off. The previous month’s bill is deducted from the deposit, and the balance is returned to the customer. No deposit is required for water service at purchased homes.
Q: Is there anything else I need to know about my water bill?	A: It is the responsibility of the customer to pay the bill on/before the 15th to avoid penalties. If the water bill is misplaced, the customer may call or stop by Village Hall for payment info. Shut off date is the 25th of each month. If payment is not received by this date, water service will be discontinued. The entire amount, including at $35 penalty, must be paid before service resumes.
Q: When is trash picked up? My trash was not picked up this week. Who do I call?	A: Trash is picked up every Tuesday morning (starting February 20, 2007). Trash must be on the curb by 7 A.M. If your trash was missed, you can call Village Hall at 248-5154. * Note: Brisk only recognizes four holidays: July 4th, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Day. If the holiday falls on a trash pick up day, that service will be provided the next day.** There will be no disruption of services for any other days. We have had quite a few questions about the Memorial Day weekend, so please pass on this information. Brisk ran their regularly scheduled route for yard waste on Monday, and will pick up trash today. Q: Does Albers offer any type of recycling service?	A: Yes, curbside recycling is offered. Recycling tubs are available at Village Hall. Recycling must be curbside by 6a.m. Friday. Questions?? Call Village Hall, 248-5154.
